John W. Callahan

JOHN W. CALLAHAN is Hartford native and presently resides in New Britain Connecticut. He graduated from Northeastern University in 1978 and obtained his law degree from Valparaiso University in 1990. Mr. Callahan is a member of the Bar of the State of Connecticut and has practiced law in the greater Hartford area since his admission to the bar in 1990. He joined Dzialo Pickett & Allen as an associate in the spring of 2016.

Mr. Callahan is a general practitioner who practices in the areas of worker compensation, personal injury, real estate, Landlord -Tenant and insurance law. As a principal in Connolly & Callahan, he conducted the defense of insurance claims, both first and third party for several national carriers and as state counsel for a national surety company; representing the company before the Connecticut Department of Insurance in market practice and licensing matters, as well as in surety claims. He has over twenty years of experience representing parties in civil litigation, including Arbitration and Mediation, the criminal court (Both Part A and Part B) and state agency proceedings, including Licensing and Market practice hearings before the Commissioner of Insurance and Informal and Formal hearings before the Workers Compensation Commission.

Since joining Dzialo Pickett & Allen, Mr. Callahan has concentrated his efforts in the firm's worker compensation practice, representing injured workers, while continuing to maintain his other practice areas.
